When I restart the PC, the option becomes unticked and the app doesnt start. My TeamViewer version is 15.20.6 (64-bit.) I want TeamViewer to start with Windows 10 but no matter how many times I enable it from the options it wont work. It's not looking for a proxy anymore, however I still have the loading screen. I am running Windows 10 Professional 21H1 19043.1110. OK I deleted this folder in regedit.exe: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TeamViewer I tested via the startup folder and it starts wide open, and even as a shortcut with minimize set it would start minimized to taskbar, not tray.I found the bug in the logs located at C:\Users\$USER\AppData\Local\TeamViewer\Logs\TeamViewer15_Logfile.txt, it is trying to connect via the proxy set-up in Mozilla Firefox (?!!!) which aren't the current proxy settings: 6 16:12:38.361 3824 8692 G1 Logger started.Ħ 16:12:38.361 3824 8692 G1 CustomConfigurationUpdaterImplWin::ReadInitialConfigurationId: Loading from machineĦ 16:12:38.376 3824 8692 G1 CRemoteReboot::IsServiceRunning() (1) CService::CService(): OpenService failed, Errorcode=1060Ħ 16:12:38.376 3824 8692 G1 ProxySearch::GetCurrentTVProxySettings: did not find settings in path #1Ħ 16:12:38.376 3824 8692 G1 ProxySearch::GetCurrentTVProxySettings: did not find settings in path #2Ħ 16:12:38.408 3824 8692 G1 ProxySearch: found Mozilla HTTP setting: ***REDACTED***:8080Ħ 16:12:38.408 3824 8692 G1 ProxySearch: found Mozilla HTTPS setting: ***REDACTED***:8080Ħ 16:12:38.413 3824 8692 G1 ProxySearch: no PAC script detected via WPADĦ 16:12:38.413 3824 8692 G1 HttpCustomConfigurationDownloader::SetProxyList: Set proxy settingsĦ 16:12:43.207 3824 8692 G1 Monitors: Generic PnP Monitor, \\.\DISPLAY1, 1366x768 (0,0), flags=3, dpi=96Ħ 16:12:43.222 3824 8692 G1 GetWebView2RuntimeVersion: got runtime version 1.68 I of course want it to start silently to the tray, same as if it would by using the gui checkbox. However I have no idea which locations it needs to be added, and what the values need to be. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunĮtc. I have setup TeamViewer on my Windows 10 system to be accessible before user login: I have set it up to start with Windows, associated it to my TeamViewer account, granted easy access to myself, set a fixed password, and allowed incoming LAN connections. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StartupApproved\Run I'd prefer to have it in the Task manager as well. Teamviewer offers a checkbox within the client itself to mimic the same functionality (most have both, taskmanager entry seems to supersede whats set in the client best i can tell). However the tray icon/client.exe is only present if you have the item set to enabled in Taskmanager>startup. I realize you can add it to the startup folder, but i'm trying to mirror the functionality that would exist if it were there by default (like most softwares - sigh).įor example, anydesk (same as TV) the service will always run regardless.
